Bikers Welcome

Home from home for you, your mates AND your bikes!

Bikers Welcome Accommodation: Every year Northern Ireland hosts a number of world class road races. Couple this with the hundreds of miles of twists and turns as well as the endless miles of back roads for the adventure biker and you have a perfect destination for a biking holiday.

Why not turn a trip to the races into a short break? Enjoy watching the events, before taking the road yourself, touring Northern Ireland’s stunning coastlines and landscapes, and then checking in for an overnight stay or two at Cherrymount Cottage.

We have everything you’ll need for the perfect stayover with your motorcycle.

Your host David is an avid adventure bike rider himself, his latest trip being a motorcycle journey from Kathmandu to Mount Everest Base Camp, so he’s the ideal host to lay on everything which you may need for your stay.

Secure Parking for your Precious Bikes

We know that secure parking is a major consideration and can be a worry for every touring biker, that’s why we’ve taken extra steps to put your mind at ease. Of course Cherrymount Cottage has secure parking for multiple vehicles in our own gated driveway. However for bikers we’ve gone the extra mile. Open the remote controlled automatic garage door and inside you’ll find ample parking for 4 bikes and for extra peace of mind we’ve fitted security rings into the concrete floor – simply bring your own cable or chain lock and you can secure your precious bike to one of the anchor points.

Kit Drying Cabinet

Let’s be honest here, we get some lovely weather in Ireland’s north west, but we also get the occasional rain shower. After all that’s what gives us the beautiful lakes which so many people come to enjoy.

Should you get caught out in shower or two, you’ll need to dry your kit and clothing and we have the ideal solution.

Our garage houses a purpose built drying cabinet. With sturdy clothes rail and boot stands large enough to hold 4 full sets of kit. Simply hang up your gear, hit the switch and take yourself inside for a hot shower and a cuppa (or maybe even a well earned beer!) while you gear dries out and warms up ready for another day on the tarmac tomorrow.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Parking space and our kit drying cabinet are not all you’ll find in the garage. We’ve also provided some other supplies and accessories to help make your biking holiday run as smoothly as possible.

You’ll find cloths and visor spray for cleaning off those pesky bugs together with boot polish and brushes to keep your footwear in ship-shape. There’s a spanner set, screwdrivers and some other basic tools, along with hand wipes to help out with those on-the-go minor repairs and adjustments. Outside there’s a tap and hose, perfect for washing down muddy boots and clothing.

Extra Touches

After you’ve parked up your bike and taken care of your kit, you’ll want to unwind and relax and there’s no better place than Cherrymount Cottage. You’ll find a selection of bike books and magazines in our study and if you fancy planning your next day in the saddle you’ll also find some great guide books with route suggestions. Or why not settle down in front of one of our 55″ smart TV’s and watch your favourite bike blogger.

If you are heading out for a day in the saddle you’ll also find convenient flasks, travel mugs and lunch boxes in the kitchen and ready for your use.
