Walkers Welcome
Cherrymount Cottage - Your Home from Home after a Day on the Trails
Walkers Welcome Accommodation: With it’s vast array of forest parks, lakeshore trails, mountains, caves and scenic paths, Fermanagh is home to a wide choice of beautiful walking routes. There’s something for everyone from the serious rambler to those who just want to take a short stroll.
And whether it is a ramble or a stroll we’ve made sure you can find everything you need when you return to Cherrymout Cottage after your day walking.
Kit Drying, Storage & Cleaning
Let’s be honest here, we get some lovely weather in Ireland’s north west, but we also get the occasional rain shower. After all that’s what gives us the beautiful lakes which so many people come to enjoy.
Should you get caught out in shower or two, you’ll need to dry your kit and clothing and we have the ideal solution.
Our garage houses a purpose built drying cabinet. With sturdy clothes rail and boot and glove stands, it’s large enough to hold everyone’s kit. Simply hang up your gear, hit the switch and take yourself inside to a hot shower and a cuppa (or maybe even a well earned beer!) while you gear warms up and dries out ready for another day on the trails tomorrow.
Before you leave the garage have a look round, you’ll find that we’ve also provided some other supplies and accessories to help make your walking holiday run as smoothly as possible.
You’ll find cloths and cleaning spray together with boot polish and brushes to keep your footwear in ship-shape. There’s a spanner set, screwdrivers and some other basic tools, along with hand wipes to help out with those on-the-go minor repairs and adjustments. there’s sturdy shelving to store your equipment and outside there’s a tap and hose, perfect for washing down muddy gear and clothing.
Extra Touches
After you’ve taken care of your kit, you’ll want to unwind and relax and there’s no better place than Cherrymount Cottage. Why not settle down in front of one of our 55″ smart TV’s and watch your favourite outdoors program.
If you want some peace and quiet then head to the study room and settle down in the cozy armchair with a book from our collection or park yourself at the desk and log in to the fibre fast wi-fi to update your social media and check those emails. Then you can use one of our maps or guide books to plan tomorrow’s route. Speaking of tomorrow, why not pop into the kitchen where you’ll find convenient flasks, travel mugs and lunch boxes ready for your use.
