Families Welcome Accommodation: Northern Ireland is great for families, whether you want to experience the outdoors, fun unique attractions and activities or great value family breaks.
With Northern Ireland’s interactive museums and galleries, exhilarating outdoor adventures and plenty of places to get up close to animals, more and more families are getting together to spend time in Northern Ireland.
We have worked hard to ensure that Cherrymount Cottage will be welcoming for you are your family and will become your “Home from Home” in Fermanagh.
Everything for Family
We know it’s not easy travelling with young children and having to bring so many accessories and bits and pieces. That’s why we’ve taken pains to make sure we have taken the pain away for you!
In Cherrymount Cottage you’ll find a high quality fold-away cot with bedding (and a spare set!), a sturdy high chair, a children’s loo seat and step, a baby bath and children’s cutlery and crockery.
We’ve got you covered, so relax and pack you favourite book instead of all those accessories!.
Safe & Sound for Peace of Mind
We’ve take great care to make Cherrymount as safe as possible for your little ones. Close the gates and the outside space is totally enclosed. Mature hedges and high walls encircle the property leaving lots of safe play space for your family to get out and enjoy the fresh air.
Inside we have fitted child socket protectors to all of the power outlets, and all of our roller blind cords are secured to the wall with child safe brackets.
Despite our convenient urban location, Cherrymount’s position set back from the main road, coupled with our modern double glazing and black-out blinds and curtains means that sleep time can be as peaceful as possible.
* Whilst we’ve taken lots of measures, you know your children better than anyone, please do your own risk assessments and supervise your children at all times both indoors and out.
Storage Space for Buggies, Prams & Bikes
Our spacious locked garage provides lots of storage space meaning you don’t need to clutter up the house with buggies, prams, bikes and toys. It even contains a drying cabinet to dry off those damp coats in the event of a day out in Fermanagh rain. Well, let’s be perfectly honest, we get some lovely weather in Ireland’s north west, but we also get occasional rain too. After all that’s what gives us the beautiful lakes which so many people come to enjoy.
In the garage you’ll also find a BBQ as well as cloths and cleaning spray for cleaning off prams, bikes, toys etc. There’s boot polish and brushes to keep your footwear in ship-shape. You’ll also find a spanner set, screwdrivers and some other basic tools, along with hand wipes to help out with those on-the-go minor repairs and adjustments. Outside there’s a tap and hose, perfect for washing down muddy bikes and clothing. We’ve even provide a basic puncture repair kit for emergency repairs.
Extra Touches
After a busy day exploring, you’ll want to unwind and relax and there’s no better place than Cherrymount Cottage. Why not settle down in front of one of our 55″ smart TV’s and watch a movie while the kids enjoy their programs in the other room (their TV is just as big …. so all is fair!!!).
If it’s quiet solitude you need, head for the office / study room, relax in the soft chair and read a book from our library, or park yourself at the desk and make use of the free fibre fast wi-fi to catch up on emails and blog about your family adventures.
If you are heading out for another day exploring you’ll find convenient flasks, travel mugs and lunch boxes in the kitchen and ready for your use.

Weather Forecasts
Being properly prepared will help you to deal with whatever comes. check the latest forecasts and get ready.
We prefer the BBC forecast but you can also check out The Met Office and Met Éireann. Alternatively forecasts are broadcast at least every hour on BBC Radio Ulster which you can find on 93.1 FM and on DAB.
Roads
For up to the minute information on road closures, detours and delays check out the Department for Infrastructure’s Traffic Watch NI website by clicking the button above. BBC Radio Ulster also broadcasts regular traffic bulletins in their morning news program on 93.1 FM and DAB.
Laundry
Of course there’s a washing machine, clothes line and drying cabinet at Cherrymount Cottage, but for more demanding jobs you’ll find 24hr industrial washers and tumble dryers just across the road at the Nicholl Fuels petrol station. You can also get a full laundry and dry cleaning service at X-Press Laundrette which is just 10 minutes walk towards town along the Cornagrade Road.
Fuel
The closest fuel is just across the road on the other side of the round about from Cherrymount Cottage. Nicholl Fuels has self serve pumps which are open 24hrs.
You can also get 24hr fuel at ASDA on Derrychara Road and at Lakeside Service Station on Queen Street (Which also has a 24hr Spar supermarket).

Enniskillen is well catered for in terms of taxi companies, however they can be busy at peak times so it’s always better to try and book in advance.
