Enniskillen has been named in the top three best places to live in Northern Ireland in the annual Sunday Times Best Places to Live guide. with Donaghadee, Co. Down and Belfast’s Ormeau area making up the top trio
Enniskillen was heralded for its access to the “wild and wonderful watery playground of Lough Erne”, with judges commenting that the lough is what puts this “handsome historic town ahead of the crowd”.
They added: “It’s not its only advantage. It also has a lively, independent town centre with a good mix of practical and interesting shops, as well as a choice of good golf courses and a wonderfully relaxed pace of life.”
The three locations in Northern Ireland are featured in the comprehensive guide. Published by The Sunday Times, it includes 72 locations across the UK and was released online on Friday, March 24 2023.
An abridged version has since been published as a magazine supplement.
